Grandma's Hands

Grandmas Hands by Bill Withers on Grooveshark

Looking at the keyboard in front of me,
I see my Grandma's
hands

Grandma's mother and father
brought her to America
when she was just a little girl.
They had a small hardware store
where they worked very hard,
just like the people in this picture,
immigrants to America. . .
And so the story goes.

Morning Moon on the Sea

" A dreamer is one
who can only find his way
by moonlight,
and his punishment is
that he sees the dawn
before the rest of the world.  "

Oscar Wilde

" Follow your inner moonlight;
don't hide the madness.  "

Allen Ginsberg

I inherited
my grandma's laugh.

It gives me more pleasure
every day
than any amount
of money.

A very practical  woman,
it is as if I can hear her,
close,
close as the lessons she taught me:

"NO amount?!
How `bout a
MILLION DOLLARS!

Take the money,
Hon."

Good old practical Grandma
